Scholarship Name Scholarship Description
American Legion Roland Paige Scholarship This scholarship is sponsored by the American Legion Post 35 and is available to students who reside in Hampton, North Hampton or Hampton Falls who have participated in ROTC.  
Anthony Drelick Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to students pursuing further education in auto mechanics or small engine repair who have achieved a notable improvement in grades.

 
Becky Lougee Wallace Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to students pursuing a career in nursing.
Christopher Barnes Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established in 1991 by the family and friends of Christopher Barnes.  The scholarship is available to students who are members of the Varsity basketball team in their senior year, who have attended Winnacunnet for 4 years, who have made an effort to improve grades in their senior year, and who have financial need.

 
Class Reunion and Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is funded by the classes of 1970, 1977, 1979, 1980 and in memory of Marcia Hawley, Edward Grenier, Allen Bushold and Maurine Preston.
This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Connie Manix Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to Winnacunnet graduates who have demonstrated leadership through service to others in WHS and community at large and have achieved a lifestyle balance between academic, social, and service activities.  The recipient will have earned respect of his peers by his example of leadership. Average of C or above. Financial need.

 
 
D. Alan Kepner Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established in 1987 by the family of D. Alan Kepner.  This scholarship is available to Winnacunnet graduates who will be pursuing further education in the fields of computer science, science, or math and have financial need.
Dick Joy Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is to students with financial need who have participated in hockey, football or baseball.
Dorothea W. Stevens Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 1994 by the will of Dorothea W. Stevens.  It is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Dorothy & Paul Hobbs Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established by an endowment from Dorothy and Paul Hobbs.  This scholarship is available to residents of North Hampton.
Frank F. and Mary S. Ross Building Trades This scholarship was established by Mary Ann Ross in honor of her parents.  Recipients must be pursuing further education in the building trades, automotive, mechanics or fire service and be planning to attend either a 2 year school or a voc-tech school.
 
George & Elizabeth Calliendo Science Scholarship - Female This scholarship was established by the will of George Calliendo.  This scholarship is available to females pursuing further education in the science fields.
 
George & Elizabeth Calliendo Science Scholarship - Male This scholarship was established by the will of George Calliendo.  This scholarship is available to males pursuing an education in the field of science.

 
George H. & Louise B. Batchelder Scholarships This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Hampton Academy & Winnacunnet High Alumni Association This scholarship is sponsored by the Hampton Academy & Winnacunnet High School Alumni Association.  Children of alumni of either Hampton Academy High School(which was a High School until 1958) or Winnacunnet High School are eligible for this award.
Hampton Academy Class of 1950 This scholarship was established by the Hampton Academy (High School)Class of 1950 in their 50th reunion year, 2000.  This scholarship will be awarded based on financial need, academic performace, integrity, character, work initiative, goals and participation in school and community activities.  
Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship This scholarship is sponsored by the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce and is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Hampton Area Lions Club Scholarship This scholarship is available to students from Hampton, Hampton Falls and North Hampton who are involved in community service, maintain a B or better grade point average and exhibit good citizenship.

 
Hampton Democrats Public Service Scholarship This scholarship is available to an individual who has performed a minimum of 125 community service hours, has maintained a minimum of a B average or better throughout their high school career, has demonstrated a concern for his/her fellow citizens, community and/or nation through actions that have supported public education, demonstrated an interest in national service, addressed environmental concerns, fostered the democratic process, and/or other activities that benefit the common good.
Huldah & Grace Fogg Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to students who reside in Seabrook, NH.  Recipients will be selected based on ability, achievement and need.  Recipients must not voilate the rules of orderly conduct at their post-secondary school, or will forfeit the award.
James Pechewlys Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established by Mary Pechewlys as a memorial to her brother.  This scholarship is for a student who excels in the study of history and/or politics, who is an independent thinker and who has demonstrated a commitment to political and social causes.  This student should intend to pursue a college major in political science, government history or sociology and intend to go into education or public service.  
James Wardle Memorial/Rae B. Grady Scholarship This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Jane Lynch Award for Foreign Language Achievement This scholarship is available to students who excelled in foreign language studies.  This scholarship requires a recommendation from a foreign language teacher.
 
John Bychok Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to Hampton residents who participated in at least 2 sports and maintain a B average.

 
Justin Chabot Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established by the friends and family of Justin Chabot.  It is available to students who have played baseball or softball at least 3 years at WHS, and were on the varsity team senior year.
Kenneth McDermit & Ivan Eaton Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is for children of employees of K.J Quinn.  If none apply, this scholarship is open to all Winnacunnet graduates
Kiwanis of the Hamptons This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Lara Bunce Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory of Lara Bunce. The scholarship is available to females who have completed two seasons of cross country, winter track or spring track, and have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.66.  Applicants must also receive a recommendation from a WHS coach of cross country or track and field.
Matthew Downer Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to students who overcame a significant issue (personal or physical) during their high school years and who have played at least 2 sports, with a preference for football.
 
Matthew Paul Harrington Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is in memory of Matthew Paul Harrington.  It is available to WHS graduates pursuing further education in medicine, pediatrics or child development, or a carear with a focus on children.    Applicants must demonstrate financial need. 
Norman P. Parsons Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to students pursuing further education in the building trades, trade school, or majoring in electrical engineering.
 
North Hampton Women's Club This scholarship is funded by an endowment from the North Hampton Women's Club.  This scholarship is available to female students from North Hampton. Recipients will be selected based on academic performance and participation in community service.
 
O. Raymond and David S. Garland Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 1987 by David S. Garland as a memorial to his father, O. Raymond Garland.  O. Raymond Garland graduated from Hampton Academy (High School) in 1914, and UNH in 1918.  He was a high school principal in schools in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  He was a long time member of the Hampton School Board.  This scholarship is available to Winnacunnet graduates who will be attending UNH.
Peter Brooks Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 1981 by the Hampton education community as a tribute to Mr. Peter Brooks upon his retirement.  Mr. Brooks worked for 21 years in the Hampton school district; first as a history teacher at Hampton Academy, and later he founded and was the first director of the Instructional Media Center for SAU #21.
This award is available to students who will be studying education, visual arts or computers.

 
Priscilla D. Mills Scholarship This scholarship is available to residents of Seabrook, NH.
Robie Mackin Scholarship This scholarship is available to graduates of North Hampton School who participate in sports and community service.
 
Ruth Neves Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to residents of Seabrook.
Sarah Hobbs Lane Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Seabrook Women's Club This scholarship is available to female students residing in the town of Seabrook.
Seacoast Education Association Scholarship This scholarship is sponsored by the Seacoast Education Assocation.  This scholarship is available to students pursuing a career in the field of education.
Shannon Kiernan Memorial Scholarship Shannon Kiernan was a science teacher at WHS.  This memorial scholarship was established in 2007 by Shannon's mother, Mrs. Patricia Guido.  This scholarship is available to applicants in good academic standing who exhibit the following characteristics: kind & considerate, willingness to help others,sense of humor, and fun to be around.   This scholarship requires an Additional Reference.
 
Tim & Lew Adams Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established by the will of Betsey Hamel.  This scholarship is available to students from the town of Seabrook
Track & Field Boosters/Loco Sports Scholarship This scholarship is available to males who have particpated in at least 2 seasons of Cross Country, Winter Track or Spring Track and have achieved a GPA of at least 2.66.  This scholarship requires a recommendation from a WHS Cross Country or Track coach.
Virginia C. Randall Arts Award This scholarship is available to students with financial need pursuing further education in the fields of performing arts, music/music education or visual arts and design.
Virginia H. Klotz Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established by the family and friends of Virginia H. Klotz in 1995.  This scholarship is available to female graduates of Hampton Academy who are pursuing further education in the areas of education, medicine, biology, nursing, home economics, textiles, food science or nutrition.

 
Wayne I Elliot Scholarship This scholarship was established in 1989 by the North Hampton School community as a retirement gift to Mr. Wayne Elliot.  Mr. Elliot retired in 1989 after 25 years of teaching at North Hampton Elementary School.  This award is available to North Hampton School graduates.  Recipients will be selected based on financial need, academic performance, citizenship and participation in community service.
William Fowler, Jr. Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship is available to Winnacunnet students who have received special education services while in high school.
Winnacunnet Dollars For Scholars, Inc. Award This scholarship is available to graduates of Winnacunnet High School.
Winthrop Savage Memorial Scholarship This memorial scholarship was established in 1982 by family and friends of Winthrop Savage.  This scholarship is available to residents of Hampton and Hampton Falls pursuing further education in woodworking, environmental studies, firefighting or paramedics.
 

 

2014 Scholarships

The National Affiliate of the Year Award honors and recognizes Dollars for Scholars affiliates that have performed outstanding service to their community and that exemplify the commitment of Dollars for Scholars, a program of Scholarship America®, to making postsecondary success possible for all students.
